Suspension question

I recently purchased a 2000 SS camaro with a Ls6 Z06 motor which is superchared (had it 2 days). It has a moser 12 bolt as well. I took a buddy at work for a ride in it and broke the stock torque arm. I realize this should be replaced and have been eyeballing a umi unit. I also would like to replace the hardware and was wondering where I can get the bolts as I have seen some not compatable with the Moser. I also am looking to add some weld on subframe connectors as well. I am a little disheartened by this early breakage and am wondering if you all have any suggestions as to avoid further breaks particularly in the suspension. The drivetrain does appear to be built well. Also any other input is more than welcome. This is my second camaro but my other one just had bolt ons and never really gave me any problems. If you have any tips on installing the new parts that would also be helpful. Also should I relocate the torque arm? Does that require any special hardware?? I really appreciate any and all info I can get.. Any other known issues with this drive train issues please let me know. Thanks

relocating it would be best. it relieves stress off the transmission and quit ripping trans mounts.
