Black Metallic on Black- 2004 Pontiac GTO M6
I was going to ask the same exact question...........
This is crazy and thank god I didn't do it on the actual road with traffic around me, but I tried it in the parking lot at maybe 5mph and like you said the rear wheels locked up and the whole car the shook really hard and stopped.....
Is there any way to disable the lock?

Sounds like you need to have the E brake adjusted. GTO's are bad about the e brake getting out of whack, to where it's either all (lock down) or nothing (will roll on a seemingly flat surface).

Custom Slate Blue- 99 B4C
why is this a bad thing? It'll lock down when you're parked, and you don't pull it when you're driving

well it should not be like that, not a good thing, cuz i almost had some idiot pull it on me when i was driving. so i would rather have it fixed than lock up, and i didnt know if it was a common problem

The ebrake system on the GTO is very sensitive to adjustment. If you loosen it the e brake just might not hold on a hill, which is not a good thing! The ebrake system is actualy called the parking brake, it is not like the old e brake systems of past years, that could be used while moving. The GTO parking brake is designed for holding the car still ,not for trying to stop the car. If you use it while moving the minanum you will get is a sevier shaking of the car along with a dreadful noise, the worst is the parking brake needing to be repaired.

shit for my e brake it doesnt work at all! The handle is broke i guess i can pull it back and it grabs but thats it! It will not stay up. i think the ratchet is broke or its off track or something idk. not worried about it i put it in gear n the car is good from there.
