Im pretty sure plugging in the sensors would actualy cause more codes.
If you cant get it loose then i would get the car to op. temp and try again, becareful thou, its gonna be hot.
If you can get the car scanned again and post the code.
Bank 1 sensor 1 = Driver side front, Befor cat
Bank 1 sensor 2= driver side rear, Aft cat
Bank 2 sensor 1= Passenger front
Bank 2 sensor 2= Passenger rear
The sensor needs to be in the exhaust inorder to take a correct reading or you will throw codes. You will also have to reset the computer by either driving it a bit or disconnecting the battery for a while.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

Sebring Silver Metalic- 2002 Camaro Z28
do you have that funny little socket they make for taking off O2s?
I had the drv side before cat in my way of a motor mount change. I had plenty of room to get a BIG adj wrench in there. I needed at least a 1/2 in drive size wrench to break it free. My adj wrench was longer which allowed me to get plenty of leverage to muster up the torque to get that sucker loose.
It wasn't too tough but enough to make me swear when it broke loose and donated a good chunk of flesh off my fingers.
it wasn't until i was flipping through a tool mag that i saw (and remember) the O2 socket.
I think the hot cat idea is like using a torch on it. But man it is going to be hot as hell though. You can't break it loose cold, you just need to find the right tool.
