Rear Metal Clanking Noise
Well today I lifted up the car...to check out the sway bar, cause I thought it might be tweeked since I was hearing some noise I had heard... and what once was a broken Swaybar Link... buuuuuuuut... it wasn't it... the car was actually perfect underneath everything tight and right...
A little bit later after lowering the car back down I took it out for a drive and on the first speed bump...it just made a horrible noise as if the spring was moving around on it's perch... now... my question about this is... Is there some sort of Rubber Perch that the spring is suposed to have for the bottom?...or any type of perch that'll keep it in place and not let it move?... or is it just left to dumb luck, to find the right position for it?
BTW, I have Eibach Springs and KYB AGX shocks... springs been there for a bout a year, and worked fine...and the KYB's have only been there about 6 months... and are fine too...

I believe I have the same thing...sounds like its coming from the left rear of the car. Wish I could explain the noise..but its only when hitting a decent size bump in the road.

I figured it out... and fixed the problem yesterday...

it was as simple as... the Spring rubbing on the Panhard Bar Brace... it's a simple fix, just lift the car, lower the axel till it wont go any lower... and move the spring until it sits away from the brace/braket... I left mine with about 1/4inch clearance...which is all it really needs... also make sure you put the springs in a way, that when they contract they are still far away from it...
