Stupid Question

As I'm sitting here going over my work it has occurred to me that I have not seen the check engine light come on in my T/A.

So here is my question. Is there a simple plug I can unplug in the engine bay to set this light off to just test it? Maybe the AIR or EGR plugs? Just something simple to set it off.

I know I shouldn't be worried but I swore the CE light should come on when you turn the key in the car before it is turned over. Correct?

Just start unpluging sensors like the rear o2 sensors and start it

All the lights come on when you start to turn the key in the ignition. Maybe the bulb is out. Just a thought, good luck finding out the problem.

It should come on for a bulb check turning the key on. Since you still have secondary air pulling the AIR PUMP fuse will throw P0412 and the MIL when it runs the test. If the SES comes on replacing the fuse and a few cold starts it'll turn off by itself.

leave the gas cap loose. but if it comes on with the key in the on position id leave well enough alone. there hard enough to get off!

Unplug your MAF should be easy to get to and your light should come on quick your car will run like shit also.
