drilled & slotted rotors?

I have to replace the front rotors on my t/a, their warped. So i want to go with cross drilled and slotted but i need advice on which one to go with? Also is all the cracking rumors true, if so should i just get the factory ones for the front, its a dd also

Texas-Speed and Thunder Racing are two close places to get them from your location. Relatively inexpensive, get some hawk pads with them as well. Doesn't matter if it's a DD or not, you need to be able to stop pretty quick sometimes...don't take the risk.

drilled and slotted rotors are weaker than plane ones.
They don't offer as much braking power and WAY more prone to warp and crack.
Chose between braking or bling... I'd chose braking and screw the drilling.

brembo blanks are great replacement... and not expensive either.

I put on Baer Eradispeed drilled/slotted rotors and Hawk pads about 20k miles ago..no problems and they bite like crazy when warmed up.

The Brembo blanks from Tire Rack are good. I wouldn't get drilled because of cracking, warping, and using up your pad quicker. I have 2-piece slotted on my BMW and Cobra.

From what I have been told by the Baer representatives drilled and slotted rotors are more for appearance now then any performance addition. In fact they are supposed to be worse since they have less contact area with the pad (think slick vs treaded tire). I am not sure how much the replacement rotors from Baer are but they make a great product and their reps will treat you well.

Most racers use slotted. Few, if any, use drilled.
