Doesnt it seem like just yesterday??
That all of us northern guys were talkin about how we cant wait to bring our cars out of storage and drive them again? Its getting so close to that time to store them (mine already is) but i feel like i barely had it out!
Even though i drove it almost every day. I remember a post in the kill sections last winter where someone said that the kill section pretty much died once all our cars went in. Well ill be one of the first to say, cant wait to bring her out next year!! With some new go fast goodies of course
anyone else feel like this season flew by?

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
i'll drive it when it's nice on the weekends. nice being over 60°. I have a garage, so no need to 'store' it and my insurance lets me add/drop coverage and prorates the changes so i don't pay for liability when it's not being driven.

I never fully put mine up for the winter.
We will get some 60 degree days throughout winter.

Yeah by storage i mean its just going to sit in the garage. But i pretty much wont drive it till march when all the salt clears, they use a shit load here. My insurance is the same way, i can drop it or add it at any time but as of now ive got it lowered to only fire and theft insurance($5/mo) and itll most likely stay that way till spring. But there mayy be an occasional run around the block hah.
i wish we got 60+ plus days. 40 is warm haha

I luckily didn't have to drive on any snow to get that picture.
Although I did take the car down my snowpacked street once last year. That was fun....315 Nitto DR's.

The weather is still nice here, just getting a bit chilly. That salt is bull though, Ill never drive my car on salted roads. Even if its a perfect day in the middle of winter, the roads are salted till the beginning of March!!
Gotta love modding season though!

Where still getting 80 degree days here. Though lately were good if we see more then one day of snow a year. I miss all the snow we used to get but not the driving in it.

That was one of the reasons I moved south. Had a car and a bike that I spent more money to store than to drive. Now....... nothing but sun all year round!

Yeah its still nice but winter is creepin in. It was 80 here on tues but since then its gone all down hill. 52 out now and lows very close to the 30's. I look at winter as more of a time to buy parts and spring is time to install haha. Its just too damn cold all winter to be wrenchin. Numb fingers and cold busted knuckles suck.
But im away at school so thats why mine is already all buttoned up.Last edited by Ryans99LS1; 10-17-2008 at 04:22 PM.

Man it was a fun summer for sure. But this fall was pretty hard on the car for me. Busted front bumper and cracked diff= Epic fail. But mine is soon to be put away as well. This will be my first winter storage and I dont have a garage
Hopefully these months go by fast

I moved south to Alabama from Iowa about 5 years ago. I do not miss the 37 years of below zero weather, overuse of salt, and always dirty winters in Iowa at all. I to had to store my cars all winter long, but there they used salt all the way through March and into April if they even thought a flake may fall. Down here they dont even have salt, hasnt snowed other than a few flurries in the last 5 years either. Cars dont rust near as bad either, bought a 74 Datsun wagon with no rust, lol, yes, a Datsun with no rust. Almost year round riding weather for motorcycles also.
