2002 SS camaro question===Tires
I just bought a sweet 2002 SS 35th anniversary with the stock 17 inch wheels. The Kumho ecstas on it are worn down and are 275-40-ZR17 tires. What <<do you guys that know>> is the widest tire that i can get on those stock wheels without any rubbing issues. What tires do you suggest. I am new to the Z-rated ((tire know how)) and need some advice and help. I want some tires that look good--Hook-up good and won't cost a fortune. What is the best bang for the buck, there are so many options and I don't have any experience with these tires.
Thanks

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
I'd stay @ 275/40-17... it's the widest you can go with properly mounted tires on those wheels.
If you want wider tires, i recommend you get wider wheels.
don't get me wrong, i love wide... but always go for properly mounted sizes.
remember that a 275/40-17 is properly mounted on a 17x9 to 17x11 rim, where ideally mounted on a 17x9.5
Stock wheels are 17x9Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)
