Firebird will not start - HELP
My friend has a 1996 V6 3.4 firebird that will not start with the key. It will start from the starter and runs but then quits. She was told the code is the anti-theft system. She does not know what the code was. One local mechanic said it would cost hundreds to fix and another said he could unhook the anti-theft system and fix the problem. Trying to avoid the Dealers high cost. Has anyone heard of this problem and is there a easy fix? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Check your ignition key lock cylinder, you will have to open up the column and there are two white wires that rub on the lock cylinder that will short out on you and will cause your problem!!!!
