I'm sure this has been asked many times before but where is the best place to install a trans temp sensor? Pics or install advice greatly appreciated.

You can already monitor auto trans temps on a 4th gen if you have Hptuner.

Driver side of the trans there is a small threaded plug. Remove the plug and install the gauge sender there.

    This...

No need to have a $2500+ laptop floating around the cockpit, when a permanent @ a glance guage can be mounted from ~ $50 - $100 or so.

$500 lap top, $500 program, tunes 3 of my cars to boot small investment for the versatility.

Besides, I wasn't clear on which trans he had so I pointed out it can be read from the lap top if you have a 4L60E.
