Vacuum leak

Just wondering what you guys think is the best way to check for a vacuum leak?

I have been told to spray some soapy water on the intake manifold and hoses to see if the suds bubble at the source of the leak. I have also been told that brakleen is also helpful as it will cause the idle to surge at the source of the leak.

This. Carb cleaner is good to spray around. You will notice the idle changes when it gets sucked in by the leak. Check the PCV tubing that goes around the back of the engine. The tubing tends to melt and the rubber to rot which creates a leak.

check the back of your pcv line where it bends to go into the intake.....most common place to develope a vacuum leak on these cars.
