    Throttle body question

So my car already has the ls6 intake on it, just curious as to how big of throttle body i can run? Also would i benefit from a ported throttle body over an aftermarket one considering my car is pretty much stock? And are the ported throttle bodies worth it?

A ported throttle body was nice and I notice a increase in throttle response.

    IIRC,

A professionally ported 78mm TB only shows gains over a stock TB above 5,000rpm and the Katech dyno graph I saw showed about 7hp gain at peak.

It was covered in this book:

You could send it to TPIS and have them do their snout conversion to it enabling you to use a 90mm 4bolt tb. That's if your willing to part with $350, and also buy a 90mm TB.

IMO with ls1/ls6 after market tb is not worh it.
Stock ported is better. Cheaper to get it done and noticeable power.

If you planning on getting a FAST intake. It will be worth it. Abd you will need to buy aftermarket.

If you just gonna keep the ls6. Just get a P&P stock TB
