414 RWHP 395 RWTQ- 00 Black Ram Air Trans Am
Check my list of mods and suggest what to do next
I'm starting to get the itch and want to gauge what mods peole would suggest next. I'm not really interested in nitrous so I'd like to steer away from that. Mods are in sig but I will list them here anyway
2000 TA-Volant dual cone CAI, LS6 intake, TR224 cam, TSP 5.3 heads milled, ported TB, LS6 oil pump, UD pulley, EGR and AIR deleted, Pacesetter LT, ORY, Hooker CB.
Suspension-BMR SFC, LCA, PHR, 32mm FSB and Bilstein HD shocks from Strano.
I'm more concerned with adding a little bit more power but not sure where to squeeze it from w/o swapping for a bigger cam or adding nitrous. Car was tuned and put down 414 & 395. Bigger injectors might be on the way as the car still has stockers.
Ideas?'00 Black Ram Air TA TR224/224 PRC 5.3 59cc Heads
Pacesetter LT ORY Hooker CB 414 RWHP 395 RWTQ
BMR PHR, SFC,LCA & TM. Bilstein HD shocks 1LE FSB
Firehawk Rims w/KDW Custom Headrests & Floormats

I'd be surprised if your stock fuel injectors are actually keep up with your mods. I would think your injectors are maxed out and you'd be running lean in the upper rpms.

Are you a 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile kinda guy? If you wanna be faster at the track, get a rearend under there with a nice gear (4.11) and set of drag rims and slicks. That's the easiest way to be faster, without adding any real power.
Didn't mention a budget, without a budget I would say a D1 Procharger at 6-8 PSI of boost.
I would be interested to see the duty cycle on those stock injectors at that power level. Although, your tuner should/would have noticed and advised you hopefully.

Yea injectors are on the to do list believe it or not they were not an issue on the tune luckily and on the dyno graph the car never runs out of fuel. I was thinking about ....if I remember right...Ford SVO 30# injectors, doe sthat sound right? I remember being advised that would be a nice injector for my mods

If you still have the stock 10 bolt I would replace that with a Ford 9" or Moser 12 Bolt before worrying about more power since I trashed a set of gears with just a few bolt ons. I put the rear back toghter with some new gears and ratech deluxe install kit. When I do my cam and stall I am planning on doing the new rear before the nitrous.
1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
Bolt ons, MS3 113LSA cam, Circle D Stall, Tune, Modified WS6 style hood, Full Suspension, 6000k HID's, Clear Side Markers w/ Leds, Led 3rd Brake Light and 18" AR Staggered Killer Wheels w/ BFG KDW NT's.- Weekend Toy/DD
