Weird noise! (Video)
WTF is this noise? It sounds like a screech or something, at first i thought it was a pulley but then i checked it and nope it sounds like its coming from inside my intake Help! Anybody had this before? Is my intake cracked or something? Leaking? I don't see where this noise would come from. Idk if its just my crazy mind but i think its gotten worse and it started happening about 2 days ago

if you intake was crack bad enough it would affect other parts and how the engine runs, your car would run lean and your idle wouldnt be steady, could it be injectors making that noise??? can you pin point where exactly its coming from?

Geez I don't see how that could be from the intake. Thats a crazy sounding noise. You could try taking the belt off and run it for a bit to see if its gone.

Do you have a check engine light on?
Had a similar sounds two years ago. Mine ended up being a dead plug, But I don't think that mine had the same screeching sound. Scared the crap out of me when it happened.

that is a crazy noise check your altenater when they get over stressed or going bad the diode in them make a screaming noise. I would bet its that or a solinoide somewhere
Let us know what it is when you find out

I forgot the possibility of a failing alternator.

The screaming chicken is supposed to go on top of the hood, not under it.
I agree with Cutlass - remove the belt and see if the noise is still there. If it is then the next step would be as Devildog said, check the alt. Maybe even the power steering pump too.

It is on the power steering/alternator side that the noise is coming from hmmm
Yup i removed my belt and the noise stopped so its gotta be my power or alt pulleys
Yes you do, easy 5 min job and the pulley is like $11 at autozone. Make sure you take yours in hand cause they'll probably the wrong one
I checked the a/c and it didn't change the noise at all.
If it was my power steering pump the noise would increase or decrease with turns, right? I'm thinking its my alternator, but would i have to replace my whole alternator or possibly just the pulley?

Sounds like an electrical interference in the alt windings. If ya dissassemble it I bet its got spots where the stator and armature have been shorting across each other. Either bad bearings or bad winding insulation is my guess.

When the alternator in my old car went, it sounded like one of those window-mounted A/C units. Got home and pulled off the belt and could not spin the alternator pulley. Got another and installed. Problem solved.

In your video, I noticed a sticker on your power steering pulley. Is that pulley new?? If so, maybe its not press on all the way (or pressed on too far) which would cause belt misalignment and noise.

no your battery wont die it wont get its full charge, cause your alt is still kicking out some juice now if you turn all your acceceries on and your brights you notice it
