LS1 intake and TB make a difference on 5.3?

Hi all,
Ok so i am getting a LS6 intake and ported TB for my 2000 Z28, my question is will the LS1 intake and stock TB that I take off make a difference in the performance of the 5.3 in my 01 Silverado? It'd be sweet to kill two birds with one stone..

I am not sure dont take my word for it, but I dont think the intake would match up with the 5.3.

The LS6 intake will fit on the 5.3. The problem is the LS6 intake is not tall enough for the throttle body to clear the accessories on the front of the engine.

glad I know that learn something new everyday, how much clearence do you need?

I am not 100% sure but it looks like an inch or so.

I heard the truck intake works great up to 5500rpm in a mild combo.it should produce better torque numbers than a ls1 intake.

hey, sorry to thread jack, but im thinking about putting an ls1/6 intake on my 5.3, i was wondering if the fuel rails and injectors would from the 5.3 would fit the ls1/6 intake?
