How big of a difference do sway bars make?
I've purchased everything else umi offers basically, but I'm just not sure if the sway bars are worth the $$

Depends on your goal for the car.

Agree.
OP,
I would say though @ the very least,(because of the age of the car) replace the end links if yours are still the stockers.
My factory end links broke on my 01 Camaro due to corrosion when I added super sticky tires all around. 4th gen end links are constantly exposed
to the elements. I went with Moog heavy duty replacements. I have also read here where folks have broken their stock sway bars....
So as Knight says, your goals make the difference on whether you need to replace sway bars..

I have the stock front sway bar (for now) and the BMR 1.5" Rear Drag Sway Bar. It prevents lateral body roll from hard launching...keeps the car launching perfectly straight.

I'll tell you in a few days. My UMI 35/22 bars just came in, I'm planning on installing them on sat. Except for Koni rear shocks, my suspension is stock.
