LS1 LS2 intake swap

I was just wondering if the LS2 intake could be put on an LS1 motor? if it does work does it require any modification and where can I get a throttle body to fit it?

yes it will fit. you will need a 90mm TB. from what i've seen, people that have done it, got less than stellar performance over a FAST 90mm intake.

the 90mm fast intake will bolt right on. the only problem is that there is some rewiring required for the ls2 throttle body. i am in the process of doing this on my 2000 C5, but for some reason im throwing codes related to the throttle by wire....ill keep you posted....

I'll have to dig through back issues but a mag I had did a dyno comparison and if I remember correctly the LS6 intake outperformed the LS2.

I've heard the same. I'd say the work probably isn't worth the payoff regardless.

Yes, the ls2 intake can be put on, but the injector sizes are different. Typical LS1 injectors wont fit in the ls2 manifold. Also, on the ls2 vehicles, the wiring harness is different for the injectors. You will notice better performance from an ls6 than with the ls2 intake. If you want a 90mm setup and noticeable gains, then you're gonna have to pay to play and get the FAST setup.
