LS1 Oil Pressure? Too high or just right?

I have a 2002 SS....see the list of mods below.

I'm not sure if maybe I'm just being paranoid or not, but it seems like my oil pressure is running a bit high.

At idle (once the car is warm), the gauge reads roughly 40 - 42 psi. At cruising speeds (roughly 2,000 rpm at 70 mph in 6th gear), the gauge reads around 60 psi and under moderate to heavy acceleration, it reads as high as 65 - 67 psi.

Does this seem a bit on the high side. If so, anyone have an idea what could cause this and how to remedy the problem. I recently swapped the rear gear for a 3.90 and ported the throttle body (along with the bump stop mod). I've checked the oil and it reads as in the operating range....so it isn't short on oil and hasn't been overfilled.

thats about the same with mine. it will also depend on what kind of oil and filter you run too. The higher end filters will yield you less oil pressure due to more filtering/restriction.

Put some extra oil in if you like to rev high often or drive hard at all. the normal range on the dip sticks means your to low.
