    blower ?'s

i have an 02 SS and i wanted to put on a blower. i was going to go with the procharger, but i just recently saw a 4th gen z28 on ebay with a Roots style (magnacharger) blower. does anyone know some one who could do this, and about what the price would be. thanks

Would be somewhat pricey, you would also have too cut into the cowl, and do some fabrication.
The magnacharger was directed towards the vettes.

I don't think its worth the effort. Go with the Procharger.

Buy the procharger. You can run up to about 7psiwith no worries. Not a real hard install and you'll make about 450 hp at the tires.

Good advice. But your boost gauge is showing over 20psi!!!

The stock rear end will stand up pretty well with an automatic and a high stall converter because you pre-load the drive train before the power hits. Now with a stick it's a different story. You need 'heavy duty' rear gears otherwise you will wind up breaking stuff like the right side differential output shaft especially if you're dropping the clutch at high rpms with sticky tires. BUT the automatic is a
weak link in high hp applications and will eventually 'give up the goast'. Mine lasted about two years before I got a heavy duty re-build designed to handle more power.

Yes. It was supposed to be a joke. And the 'smilie' was the only one I could
find that would point in the right direction absolutely no other meaning intended.
