Tick-a-tick-a-tick-a-tick-a...Rear end when cornering
So, 2000 T/A with 106K on it. I have ordered a new rack for the front along with shocks and struts. Last weekend I replaced the "rear end" seal and replaced the fluid with the addictive. I figured that would get rid of the tick-a-tick-a-tick-a-tick-a when I make corners. The sound only comes when I make turns. There are no noises coming front he "rear end" other than that. Hole shot, steady driving aggressive driving, no sounds... then the turn... tick-a-tick-a-tick-a-tick-a. Any suggestions or anyone else with the same issue?

If you in fact have the auburn and you did put the additive with the right lube in the clutch packs could be all worn out. How long was it making the clicking sound in turns before you fixed it?

How would I know if I have the Auburn? I put the GM addictive with the lube that was suggested in the manual (75W90 - Royal Purple). It is an automatic trans. The noise has been there since I bought the car last summer. I purchased it with 94000 on it and it has 106000 on it now. When I changed the fluid in the rear diff. I did not notice anything out of the ordinary as far as wear.

Unless you have an slp optioned T/A I think you have the torsen. Not exactly sure but they switched back and forth on our cars from 98-00. I'll try and look.

The GM window sticker will indicate the Zexel Torson unit but the SLP sheet and door sticker will tell you if they replaced the Torson unit with an Auburn. The Torson is a good unit, no clutches to wear out only gears and no additive is needed either. The Auburn is tougher and a better choice for racing and hard driving. Did you check your bearings when you did the work on the rear and your front end ?

There wasn't any SLP upgrades to the car other than what I have added. So it does have the Torsen based on the sticker. I did not check the bearing when I worked on it. I am going to be tearing the shocks and struts out over the next weekend and replacing them. I'll check the bearings then and replace the fluid and additive again... Poor planning on my behalf.
