Its an easy fix, just take your time and save the money if you can.

    1) Did you scrub the rust off the terminals after you removed the old socket?
    - if not, just take some steel wool and scrub it clean. I used some coke to help make mine look like new.
    2) Are you sure you have the 3 wires in the correct order when you slide the wires into the new socket?
    - Use the Left side or one of the new sockets to compare what order the wires should be.

The whole cleaning the terminals was for the battery. I ask because now i cant start my car it keeps just ticking. i thought i asked on the forum, but i hadnt yet. It sounds like it is the starter and thats why i tossed my phone because now another thing to worry about on top of the other stuff i have to fix.

well make sure both the battery terminals and the terminals for the turn signal socket are clean.
If they are all clean and corrosion free and the light just stays solid, then check your rear light bulbs. Solid means that there is a bulb burnt out somewhere.
It doesn't sound like your flasher unit since the left side is working fine.

I've found the cracks in the front lens really don't let the water in. I used to think that on my car, and the socket was corroded. I put a new socket in, sealed over the cracks with some clear silicone, but it kept blowing the light and had water in it. The real problem was a crack in the housing above the light. I sealed it with some black RTV and no issue for a year now.

Yes I know the socket is new...but how did you connect them to the original wires? Did you cut the old socket off and then sodder the new socket on or did you remove the original socket housing and replace that with the new socket housing (reusing the original wires and sliding them into the new socket)?

I was assuming you did the latter...which if you did, did you make sure the original wire ends/terminals were clean before putting them into the new socket?

Are you still having issues with it?
Sorry I didn't realize you cut the original wires, I thought you just swapped out the housings and re-used the stock wires. If thats the case, it could be an issue with the soddering/wire connections. Are you sure its in the same order as before? Also check the sodder and make sure each has a good contact.

So, did you ever locate the problem?? I have a 99 ws6 and have the exact same problem with the passenger front blinker. I have replaced the socket and soldered the wires, new bulbs, and no burnt bulbs. Left side blinks appropriately and flashers work as well. This sucks
