Nah. Just what I was taught in Baptist church for 41 years. Something about Good Friday and three days, but I'm sure the internet has disproven that.

It truly is amazing how little christians (a group of people that devote their lives to "history") really know about their religion. I still laugh out loud everytime i see a car on the road with one of those fish symbols on it.

Yes, that makes alot of sense. You worship christ by worshipping his assent into heaven on a day named after the anglo-saxon goddess of spring.

I'm surprised they haven't named his birthday Zeus-day or some shit. It would make just as much sense.

Who said i was trying to disprove it? You can't prove a negative.

This has nothing to do with if a god/goddess/whatever exists. This is about history.

I myself am Christian, but I shun away from pagan worship practices such as easter and christmas because they are not biblical in any way whatsoever.

Easter is an ancient pagan festival of fertility. When christians wake up early in the morning to observe the SUN RISE IN THE EAST, I shudder for their souls.

sun worship is pretty much satan worship as far as the bible is concerned.
