For someone who says he's done with her you seem too interested in what she is doing. Be done with her. She seems to be like candy that everyone wants a piece of. Even if you get back together if she gets bored with you she is likely to relapse again and start this whole predicament all over again. I would tell her you are done with her and don't want to talk to her ever again. I would block her phone number as well. It seems to me you are dwelling on her because of the idea of what she represents but I think your morals don't match up. You have morals and a level head on your shoulders and she doesn't seem to in the slightest bit. If you go back to her you are likely to just get hurt again. I know it is hard, I had a similar situation about 7 years ago. You have to move on and not dwell on the past, what happened is the past and you will find someone who treats you better in the future. I just realized that kind of sounded like a pep talk

Good advice and I agree. I've let go numerous times now...yet she always comes back. They say if you set someone free and they come back then they were meant to be yours. Corny shit, I know.

At this point I am being the Alpha male and calling the shots. That's the guy I was for years and it got me any woman I wanted. I've dated women who were wanted by hundreds of guys because I was not only cocky and confident, but funny also and had a care-free attitude. All of my gf's were absolutely gorgeous.

I lost that for awhile.

I think she'll just make another excuse on that meet-up. As you know there's sooo many women out there just as hot, funny, etc as her but they'll do what they say and they don't play head games. You can do better. I know it's easier said than done but i'd be the one to cancel the meet-up this time and truly let her go.

You being her text buddie and being there for her isn't what they mean by the "setting her free and if she comes back" thing. IMO you haven't set her free yet despite being apart and dating other people. You changing back to "alpha" might get her in bed but when you wake up she'll still be the flake that can't commit....meaning she needs to change not you.

Problem is, out of the 200 or so I've met in my life, I haven't found one that comes remotely close.

I'm not going to settle for a half-ass, mediocre relationship either like 90% of people do.

Maybe that leaves me single the rest of my life. I really don't care. I've been single for 5 years now aside from many short-term women. Doesn't bother me one bit. I'm doing quite well in life. George Clooney is too.

I almost did once. Dated a girl for 6.5 yrs who gave me everything on a silver platter. Was engaged even. 4 months before the wedding I called it off. Just wasn't as happy as I wanted to be.

I've dated some awesome girls. Made some mistakes along the way, learned from every last one of them and won't ever make them again.

I decided to see what was good on his FB page. He quoted "wait for the person who is willing to give it their all in a relationship" or some shit like that. Even changed his cover page to reflect a quote about "live life in the present...don't worry about the future and forget the past".

That's where macho man aka model boy and me are different. While I am a sensitive guy, I don't have a vagina. Women already have one of those and don't need another one.

Truthfully- if she likes that kind of shit, I'm not for her anyhow. I'm not a pushover. I used to be. Another mistake learned.

One thing is certain...I feel absolutely no sadness or guilt. I have a completely clear conscious too.
