    2004 GTO 6M

    power steering leak

    The video is a short clip of a power steering leak from my 99 camaro ss... do i replace the whole line or is there an o ring in the fitting? any help would be greatly appreciated

    Yes there are O rings on both ends of the high pressure hose.


    have you checked around the reservoir? you have 2 o rings there that can fail too.



    This thread may help. It deals with the pump and reservoir but you can also do the o ring at the R&P easy.

    yeah i took off the lines and the o rings look like crap, i am gonna replace them in the morning and see what happens, thanks for the help!!

    Don't over torque the nut. It crushes the O ring and over time you'll be right where you are.

    i put a new o ring on and it still leaked so i took the line off and found a tiny crack in the line so i guess i need a new line, neither the dealer or part stores can order this line, i even brought the part in when i went in...now what to do???
