Transmission Flush

any fluid brand recommendations? I know we use dexron III. Can we put synthetic tranny fluid in our car?

I use royal purple but I've noticed here at ls1 Half swear by it other half wouldn't use it if life depend on it I've had no problem with it when i first switched to it i noticed difference in shifting an temp of tranny

i don't do royal purple products. I was looking at Amsoil but wondering if it is worth the extra money.
