lmao, I better not ever stop thinking about sex and speed! And thanks for the insight y2k, but some lessons you have to learn for yourself. I think I might seriously be addicted to speed though, I mean the faster I go it just feels awesome. I can say without a doubt if I ever get it for street racing or total my car it would be the end of my fast days. But I am a VERY good driver. I know that is what they all say before they end up crashing, but seriously I make Ken Block look like some 80 year old in a buick.

I used to have the EXACT same mentality as you. EXACTLY the same.

Hydroplaned at about 55MPH, not doing anything dumb, just pure accident. Your mentality changes after shit like this. Another car hit me as I was spinning out of control, totaled their car. 2 women with a baby in the back seat. I missed going off an overpass by about 6 feet. All of us walked away on our own. Remember, this was at 55 MPH, not 100+

Thats why I don't feel the need to put someone in their place.

And the guy in the rx-8 looked like he was 40, so I guess it takes all kinds. I figure my first ticket and I will slow down.

OOOH SHT!!! That is a hard impact!! The last time someone ran up fast behind me got a good reality check. I had my father's car after I totalled my last car. A Taurus was tailgating me on Rt 17 southbound in Upper Saddle River. The Taurus blew past me doing 75(55mph zone), and in the process of passing me, I spotted a USR black and white doing radar(my radar detector was going crazy). We both passed the cop who was staged on the shoulder and I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed the cop had their signal on. I immediately counted back from 3. By the time I counted to 1, the cop was next to me smiling at me while he caught up to the Taurus. Taurus didn't get too far away. If I wanna get stupid with a GTO or any GM car, I just pop in some GT4 when I get home. I'd rather have fun with a GTO pushing out 740 hp in my bedroom than have to sell my real car to pay court fees/surcharges.

Didn't your convertor lock up on you? I remember, we were all at Sam's Club waiting for you when that happened. That was a bum deal for sure.

Started raining, convertor flashed, RPMs went way up, it was over from there. Its not a real positive feeling doing numerous out of control 360s across a 3 lane major highway and seeing another strike you. I used up about 3 of my 9 lives in that incident I think.

That's right. You know I've had my share of nasties in the past too, so I know exactly how it feels and what to learn from it.

Let a good buddy drive my car (with me in it of course) and we hydroplaned at 45mph and hit a concrete guard rail and did 2 360's. Did $4000 of damage but its still the car I am driving today. We both have been through some shit

Would have never happened if Smkn TA was driving. He's a driving phenom. He taught Michael Schumacher how to drive.

Mine is a daily driver, and I drive a good amount for business purposes. I hate people tailgating. If I am not passing someone I am in the right lane. This isn't rocket science. Use the pass lane for just that. As far as the speeds talked about above, thats just excessive and waiting for something bad to happen. When on my own on the highway I will drive 90 in a 70, so I am no soap box preacher. I have a fuzzbuster and a laser jammer for that purpose. Even with no one around, I am still taking chances w/ critters and deer. I go road racing on one of the local tracks, so I am no driving slouch. But the greatest of race car drivers have crashed regularly.

Id spun my car before in the rain. Had radials on it for the first time ever and i was doing maybe 20 in the rain on the way to a buddys house turning at a light. Car just spun out. Its scary as shit, i went over a median divider. It didnt mess anything up thank god, but i went right home and parked it for a day or two. When this happened id had the car for maybe 2 months.
