He's 20 years old. He'll eventually grow up (I hope).

Actually, no, I wouldn't. Why waste the gas?
I had the equivalent happen to me yesterday. I'm on the way home doing just under 70 in a 65. A guy in a clapped out 2 door neon ( fart pipe, tacked on hood scoop, primered hood and trunk) starts to fly by me on the right. As sson as he passes, he slows down so I pass him a bit, then he pulls back up even with me, and then he lets off again. Obviously trying to get me to race. After the third time of him falling back, he nails it, and as he starts to pass, I look over at him and laugh as he passes, fart pipe roaring.
Sure I could have put him in his place, but why bother? Obviously I'm in a faster car, why should I waste the gas and risk the ticket?
And flying up on people like that is a dick move, I f'in hate it when people do that to me.

He has a point.......
Me and my friends were coming back from the track in fayetteville. It was me whod run a 12.8 a STI thatd run a 12.5 a mr2 thatd run a 13.2 and a 240sx that had run something unimpressive. But these kids in this dodge ram truck with all the super bee decals pulled up on all of us and started throwing shit outta the truck trying to hit us and drive erratically. He almost hit a few people on the road along with us. We went after him after the BS and blocked all 4 lanes of the high way and pinned him in so he couldn't do anything but before that it was ridiculous. We didnt even do anything to provoke him, wed been following each other back home in the far left hand lane at about 80 or more.
I dont really race on the street or try and put anyone in their place like mentioned above but that was dangerous. I mean beer bottles bags of crap trays from fast food places cups. They threw everyything but each other.
I know it was COMPLETELY because i was with "Ricers" too.Last edited by 95camaroZNC; 06-13-2009 at 12:40 AM.

Maybe the person flying up behind you needs to get to the hospital. Maybe his grandpa had a heart attack.
Maybe his pregnant girl is in the back seat.
IF someone flys up behind you, give'm a second to go around. Drive normal. If they do something else stupid, then all bets are off. I'm just saying, a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed can mean many things.
The dumbest thing you could do is what the pick-up truck driver did, try to haul ass with an obviously faster car behind him on a two lane road. Then throw something out the window when he gets passed anyway?
That was super lame. He needs to keep that farming equipment back in the barn if he's going to drive it like that.

Funny you should post this. I was just in IA yesterday and tossed an empty beer can out the window at a car.

On a serious note. Someone my wife works has a sister that just went through something similar to this....kinda. She was driving somewhere at night with her family in a minivan on a 2 lane road in the country and crested a hill and got hit head on by a truck that was passing a mustang. The mustang kept going and everyone in the truck died. The girls whole family walked away from it. My bet is that stang and truck were racing. Why wouldn't you pull over for something like that?

those people should buy lottery tickets. How often does any vehicle get hit head on and everyone survive? I guess their kids are having a hard time with it because one of the passengers in the truck was ejected and smashed into the window and the kids seen everything. They probably will take that kinda thing to the grave with them. Not something you probably forget.

It happens to me alot down here, my z28 was pretty loud so every red neck with a 4X4 tried to do something, its so stupid. I had a guy in a dakota at 2 am keep cutting in front of me and slam on the breaks, i had the 2 guys in the dodge ram throwing stuff out of the window and some guy in a harley davidson f150 cut me off on a on ramp, i was going to pass him but i ran out of road, when i got up beside him doing 50 on the on ramp he romped on it and stayed beside be so i couldnt merge with the lane running out.

If I was driving fast in almost any other car they wouldn't have cared or done anything. As for something stupid catching up with me eventually. I don't doubt it. "hypothetically" I had a three way race on i-80 one day. Me a stang, and an rx-8, me an the rx-8 were doing 120 or greater for like 15 miles the mustang pulled the pussy cord at 100.. But everytime I'd let off the rx-8 would try to do a flyby and I wasn't having it. Going that far with NO cops. Thats what you call L-U-C-K-Y. And the guy in the rx-8 looked like he was 40, so I guess it takes all kinds. I figure my first ticket and I will slow down.
