Mystery Wire/Plug
When I bought my car it had another plug near the OBDII plug. No one has been able to tell me what it was for. Well today I took off the panel and followed the wire( i was bored). The plug goes to a black box about 4x4 that has three imputs: the ground, the connector plug which is mounted under the steering wheel, and a plug that has a pink and yellow wire which go into one of the main wire boxes under the steering wheel. I am thinking it was for some sort of alarm. On the black box it just had pin wiring instructions...and thoughts?

Does it look like a chip about the size of a SD card could be inserted? It might be an anti-theft device, you insert a chip and you have 15 seconds to insert key.

If you guys don't come up with anything, I can page through my factory service manual to see what I find. Only difference would be that my books are for an '02.
