Thanks: everyone who helped me pick out my tint!
I just got my windows tinted today... I've been burning my ass and hands getting in my car for 7 weeks now. Finally forked out the $275 to have them tinted today. Thanks to all who replied to my thread.
5% T-tops
5% Sunshade on windshield
15% Sides
15% Hatch
I love it!

Do 5% on the tops make a difference over the factory tint? I've got the slide in shades that I put in when its' out in the sun. All the other windows are tinted and makes a difference. Just wondering thoughts on the tops.

Warning
HEY!! just a warning tinting your T-Tops could cause them to crack...Factory tint is in the glass but adding the film will trap the heat on your roof and will not allow the flexibility to expand and compress (glass is liquid) and could cause them to crack..same with a sun roof

Good info. Even if there is a chance, I'm out.

Not all tint is created equal. When I had my t-tops tinted the shop warned me about the tint trapping heat. They used some kind of mirror/heat reflective tint that would be better than the standard stuff. I can't remember what they used, but they seemed pretty knowledgeable.
I live in Florida, car sits outside all the time, tint's been on for like 2-3 years, zero problems.

it might have been a ceramic film which is more expensive and better quality.. im just saying there is a risk there..not sayin it will happe to everyone...but the risk is there..

Well, I'm not all that pressed to get it done anyway. They look pretty good just the way they are to me.

It was a huge difference, tinted vs non tinted on the tops for me. I can drive all day with the sun coming through the top and not be bothered. Before it was just too bright / hot.
The film they used has a mirror brownish hue to it, my car never came with the removable shades, so the tint was a life saver.

Have you had any problems with it? I use the sun shades when its' parked. I'm too lazy to take them off sometimes but, would still enjoy some light but, to have it toned down a bit.
Maybe if you have had no problems, I can try it. Need to make sure I'm getting quality film though. It would suck to have one crack because of it.

Toilet- From building our house, was set outside for the new one to go in, and hadn't been moved outa the way.
Thats not a lawn mower, its a pressure washer used to help wash the car that if you notice is wet and somewhat clean.
The toyota yea isnt much to look at, but i live on a ranch, its a ranch vehicle and i swear never breaks down, its got all tools and shit to fix shit...
The photo's weren't meant to enter for COTM, it was just to show the tint to be able to compare to the 15%
