I had something like that. Back it up some rhino ramps and secure the front wheels. Then try pushing up on the body from underneath. Mine was very intermittent and turned out to be a thin piece of metal below the gas tank area. Bent it with my finger slightly and hasn't occurred since.

Squirt some WD-40 on all rubber bushings . Driver side or pass.side ?

WD-40 could do it, it also could be worn out spring isolators/bushings or whatever you want to call to rubber boots that are on top of the rear springs. They get worn out and can start to squeak.

but the sound is interior... you can't hear it from outside... its not loud at all, and as stated above, it is very intermittent. sounds like something loose inside the rear of the car.
btw. i've also had the same problem on my previous f body (95 firebird) and i never found the problem before i sold it. i doubt it affect my performance, its just annoying as hell.
but thanks, i shall check the rear springs.

If the noise is coming from the right rear area you may want to check to see if the spare tire is loose or just making the squeaking noise.
