    Rear End Gear Breakin

I'm getting some 4.10 gears installed this weekend. I've heard from several people that you don't have to go easy on the car for so long. they say you just have to go through a couple heat cycles and then they will be fine. I think i read on here that I should go through a 500 mile breakin period and then change the fluid. what do you all recommend?

The heat cycles are most important but I would also take it easy until you change the fluid. Proper install and break in will keep the whine to a minimum.
