Stuck in 4th
Hey guys, have an 02 camaro thats getting stuck in 4th gear. It did this one other time, but once we got it back out it was shifting fine in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but now its in 4th and its stuck pretty damn well. Shifter fork or whats up?

This is a well know old problem=your 3/4 fork(aluminum) is wallowed out at the rail. The sleeve overtravels , overextends the struts and won't allow the sleeve out of 4th. Fix is a new fork( iron ) and possibly other parts.

Alright thanks for the info. Just curious, how long does it usually take for a fork to get sloppy like that? This is in a car with about 35k miles on it.
