    Angry Rant of the Tater

I've had a problem with jobs lately, and I wanted to try the military. Well, unfortunately, I have a sleep disorder that the military won't accept me with, and I can't get rid of. I wanted to be a firefighter on an airbase for the USAF.

    Just my fucking luck...

if you don't mind sharing what is your disorder? Or what are the effects it causes? Lack of sleep? excess sleep?

I know plenty of guys with sleep disorders in the Air Force. Do you have sleep apnea, narcolepsy or what? I even know a guy that has to wear one of those breathing machines to keep from basically dying in his sleep. Maybe you can go back to MEPS and just uhh not mention it. Now if its a SERIOUS problem for you then lying about it will only make your military life a living hell. Especially if you never get sleep.

It's a sleep disorder, not trying to be a prick, but I mean, that's it. Not major, nothing big. Haven't had an episode in over 3 years, when I was first diagnosed.

I understand what TSS means, but I'm easily woken, and I get a good night's rest. I hear my fire pager when it goes off in the middle of the night.. I think it's stupid, because the state let's me drive, so why can't I serve?

If its not a problem for you then go back to MEPS and don't even mention it.

Plenty of people can fall asleep in the Chair Force. You should be good to go!

Just kidding, in regards to Jesusfan's thread.

Dude, just go back, dont tell them SHIT about that stupid thing that is 3 damn years old, and your gravy baby.
