Exclamation how hot should my goat run?

I hooked up the predator to it to clear my O2 codes yesterday, and I decided to do a complete system check or whtever it's called and it said my coolant was 223deg.F and engine oil was 216deg.F which seems kinda hot, my factory coolant temp. guage reads normal, the fans weren't on and it was idling, I noticed if I brought the RPMs up it cooled down a little, Just wondering if those temps seemed righ or if you thought the predator was wrong, because like I said the temp. guage reads normal.

Factory temp guage is a joke and worthless....your fans should be programmed to come on around 190f....your running hot.....

I saw these 160 termostats at pfyc.com and was thinking about getting one.
Does anyone know with these do you have your engine cooling system working all the time in order to keep the temp down? I mean do the fans and everything else keep working? and if yes is that gonna put alot more wear on cooling parts than if you leave it as is??

I cant say it runs "better" or performs any "better" really.....It isnt something I recommend to folks.....sorta one of those "wont hurt nothing" things......I do get nervous when folks never reach 180f....you got to get your motor up to temp to perform properly...from there...you dont want to be running around at 220f if you can keep from it....so its a balancing act....we have a SD tune and it goes into closed loop at 150f FYI.......
