WS6 vs. Goat
What do you all think a A4 99 WS6(LS1) or an M6 05 GTO(LS2). The WS6 has a few bolt ons, 3.73's, dyno tune, and soon BMR LCA's with a personal best time of 13.3 at the track before the gears. The GTO is all stock besides an aftermarket muffler and has claimed to have ran a best time of 13.1 but just this weekend it ran a 14.1. The reason why I ask is because my dad will be racing my TA against one of his co workers with the goat who says my TA doesnt stand a chance.

I think it could go either way. Seems like ya'll would be pretty close with u having track advantage in a4.

I think the Trans Am has the advantage.

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
GTO has slightly more power but the T/A has a definete weight and gearing advantage.
IMO it's too close to call.Craig

No offense to anyone here. Before I bought my Cobra I drove a Goat and really wasn't impressed. My WS6 would have completely destroyed that thing It was the 6.0 M6 black. They are more comfortable and ride better if you go on long trips maybe but I think i would still take the TA!

I beat a 6.0 Gto at the track. I ran a 12.7 and it ran a 13.4 all i have is headers and rear gears...and i ported my intake manifold and made a custom ram air.

With full bolt ons a WS6 98-00 should be about 335 RWHP and the GTO stock pulls about 340 RWHP, give or take ofcourse. Weight would be an issue for the GTO but i still think the WS6 should pull out a victory if going from 50-130mph it should be ahead by 2-3 cars. Key is being in the right gear and RPM's when starting the race with the A4. Either way should be a good race.

WS6 by a long shot...the GTO is gunna be harder to go consitently...bank on him spinning, bogging, or missing a gear....

I've owned 3 LS1 cars now and a 2005 GTO.
Stock for stock the GTO wins. I could consistantly run 13.1-13.2 with my GTO and had a best of 12.895.
With gears, a tune, lid and a catback the WS6 should be solidly in the 12's.
I'd put my money on the modded WS6 versus the stock GTO.
