Turn Signal Bulb Replace?
I hope this don't sound too dumb but my drivers side front turn signal/day time running light is burned out. I looked at the lens from the front and I see no screws in the lens. I am assuming i have to jack up the car to get it out? It is a 2001 formula. Thanks for the info.

There are plastic panels underneath of the car.
I believe they are 10mm bolts holding a flap up. Remove those and you should have access to the back side of the blinker housing.

Don't forget to add Bulb Grease. Water will get in the light, that's what caused it to blow. Bulb grease will make it last longer. Until you burn out the socket.

Also check and see if you have developed cracks in the lens itself. Both of mine had hairline cracks so every time it rained, I blew bulbs unknowingly. After awhile, I had to replace both sockets and applied a little clear tape on the lenses; she's all better now.

Well it dried up enough today to replace the bulb. I removed the 10mm bolts. The bad part was after I removed the socket and pulled on the bulb to remove it The damn thing shattered in my hand and of course a chunk went into my thumb. Also did apply grease to socket because water did come out of it. Lesson learned next time wrap a paper towel around old bulb. Oh well got er done. Thanks for the info guys.

If you're getting water in the housing and blowing the bulb I'd try to fix it or eventually you're gonna need to splice in a new socket. You can either find the cracks and silicone it up or buy a new housing for around $40. Either way make sure to put some dielectric grease in the socket when you replace the bulb.

Same here, reach through the opening under the lights and twist. Passenger side light went out about 3 years ago and since then no problem, still functioning. This week had to change driver's side and of course it was wet. Alot of rain lately in Miami!

I just spent an afternoon messing with that crap. Got tired of replacing bulbs after every rainstorm at $4 a two pack.
I removed both of the turn signals. two 10mm bolts to open the flap and then two 7mm bolts for each signal. Once out I noticed the top had some cracks in it. The underside was all bubbly from the heat of the bulb and had cracked straight through.
I took some JB weld and applied it to the top and underside of the top. Then ran a bead of clear silicone all around the front rim of the light (where the front clear plastic meets the rest of the assembly). I do have some hairline cracks on the clear plastic, but it doesn't go all the way thru, so I left it alone. Grabbed my vacuum cleaner and sucked all the water/moisture out. Then reinstalled and since they have been as clear as the day it rolled out.

Thanks for asking that question...
And thanks to all who replied. My passenger-side bulb turn signal/running light burned out and I couldn't figure out how to get at it to get it out. Now I've got it out and found out the bulbs I bought to replace it don't fit. That'll teach me to buy replacement bulbs at the supermarket!
