Meguiars Scratch X
just used it on my car on some minor scratches. it worked well on the really fine line ones, but anything that you actually notice without real close inspection it didn't do a whole lot. i have one scratch that is almost down to the primer and it didn't even touch that, which i wasn't really expecting, just hoping. i don't think it was worth the $8 IMO

You can try wet sanding on some of the more significant scratches but you gotta be really careful when doing this, research before you attmept that. And it wont fix the REALLY deep ones like the one down to the primer. But is more agressive than a polish scratch remover.

Meguire's states right on the tube that if you can't fix the paint defect with Scratch-X, you're going to need professional help (no, not a shrink!) i.e. it's body shop time.....

yeah, as i said i wasn't really expecting it to do anything with the deep one. i guess i was just hoping for a little more on some of the shallower ones. i'm not getting too worked up though, i'm gonna give it a nice coat of wax one of these days when i'm bored and hopefully that'll make her look nice and smooth! it's still my DD during the summer so until i can afford to make her my sunday afternoon car i'm not gonna get too worked up about a few small scratches

I tried scratch x a long time ago and didnt notice ANY difference. Try Pinnacle medium swirl remover followed by there ultra fine swirl remover followed by carnuba wax. Worked for me and I had some bad scratches.

ScratchX is one of those products I don't know what to make of it. it really didn't do anything for me either. Never tried it by machine, it was by hand
depends who you ask, you can hear different results. i think you must apply some muscle to it when doing it, something I don't want to do
I also hear people using it on a whole car by machine with good results, so what gives??!!

I did it by hand with a foam wax pad. Did not use a lot of muscle. About 1-2 min rubbing time. Fine scratches came out good. Deeper scratches need more.
