Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
I run Nitto DR's for street use. (315/35/17)
I run MT DR's for track use. (275/50/15...for now)
Nitto's are great for the street. Hold much better than any street tire and can last 15,000 plus treated well.
MT DR's grab GREAT at the track. 1.67 short times and I know I haven't gotten the best out of it yet.

No.
Nitto's got me 1.87 short times. Took a 4.11 Moser 9" to get that.
2.2's with the stock geared rearend.
The M/T ET radials got me the 1.67's. 4.11 Moser 9" under the back.
M6 car by the way.

Nitto DR's can go about 18K if not raced and babied.
MT DR's can go about 5K under the same conditions.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Camaro Z-28 SS
I run the bfg's dr's. 275/40/17's. They last about 15k max if babied. They pure suck in the rain. I cut 1.9's in the 60 foot and that is on a stock converter A4 car.
2000 SS #1827,NBM,A4,leather,t-tops,lid,eibach springs, hotchkis lca's,slp lid,slp cold air induction, slp loudmouth, baer brakes up front,13.11@107 on street tires,12.90@109 on dr's....time for the cam and intake to be installed

BFG DR's are a perfect mix of both the Nitto and the MT.

I prefer the Nittos because I know I can get considerably more use out of them. They hook pretty good on the street, especially once they are nice and warm. If you're spending a lot of time at the track, go with the MT's and you'll probably drop your times by 2/10ths!

What do you mean by new??
I guess im too literal and you are referring to the "only" ET Street drag radial Mickey Thompson makes.
Sorry thought they came out with a new one.Last edited by rickssz; 03-19-2007 at 08:19 AM. Reason: explaining

Black on Black- 2000 Camaro SS M6
I run BFGs year round. They normally last me a year since i drive the car maybe 2 times a week. They hook really nice compared to when I used to run G-forces on the back.

I had to vote for nitto because I never tried MT. I guess if we are talking street daily driving I would have to go with the higher mileage tire. If you were talking track then the best hooking.

Only out of the hole.
The Nitto's hold fine down the track.

Yes.
Warmed tires of course.
I can make them spin if I want them to though.
The thing with the Nittos is that they don't like shock.
They hold if I run up through first from lower RPM's. If I punch it in 1st from 4000 they break loose.
