JEGS drag wheel backspacing for Z28
I've been thinking about getting some JEGS draglite wheels, and don't know what backspacing is required for my 99 Z28. The wheels I'm looking at are the 15X4, and the 15X8 wheel Prostar looking ones. Will I need a spacer for these wheels too, and brake caliper grinding too? Thanks.

15 x 8 will need 5.5" backspacing. are these draglites actually Weld Racing that you are buying through Jegs? if so, then yes, spacers and/or grinding down of the calipers is required. i just ground my calipers until they cleared without spacers.

I think they are mrr23.
If I recall correctly, Jegs/Summit picked up the ProStar design when Weld went out of business.
15x8 needs a 5.5" BS.
15x10 needs a 7.5" BS.
Grinding the rear caliper is required for both wheels to fit. More needs to be removed for the 15x10.
Lot more than I thought.

the look of a 10" wide wheel is worth it though.
and weld is not out of business. i talked with them at PRI when i passed by their booth. they were bought by the same company that owns american racing. name begins with a Z. the rep said, by january, they should be up to about 30 day backorder times.

Well that makes sense.
Weld got bought out. AR has them, so maybe they will go down a little.
Got mine last summer when the rumors were flying.
