Friends 1985 Camaro Berlinetta's Headlights Won't Turn Off!?!?

Hello all, I am posting this for my friend, He just bought a 85 camaro Berlinetta, V6 2.8 FI. When he bought it, they guy told us that the Head lights and Fan were hardwired into the battery Only the fan is hardwired in. Where the Turnsignals switch is, there was a wire that had came unsoldered and reattched it, and the switch now works, but they come right back oon when we let go Also, the left turnsig don't work, the bubls are great, and they all work, it just won't turn on when pressed... We Need Help ASAP... We don't want to keep unhooking the battery everytime he drives it.. LMFAO.... If someone has that unit piece that they are willing to sell, please let me know ASAP, we need it fixed really soon... Oh BTW, it has real low idle and tends to die sometimes.. What could this be from????

    Thanks In advance.
    Robert & Zack.

As far as the electrical problems you're pretty much on your own. Pretty much just check your fuses, snag a wiring diagram and go to town.

As far as the rough idle problem, there are 1000 different things that can cause that. In this case I'd look at my battery voltage and alternator output first, then look for fuel, spark, and emmisions problems.

I gave you what I could with the info you gave me. What you told me is "my wiring's fucked up and shit don't work. BTW, my idle's low."

I can't tell you how the guy before wired the car and there are just too many things that cause a low idle.

I understand this, But the switch is fucked up, and he just wants to bypass it with a toggle switch. So i just need the wireing diagram for this car if you could.

Advatage to buying book; no a waiting for responces or guesses. And its it just the switch as you say it will be just easy to replace it with another one by the time you get the information and do the wiring and hoping it all works.

Simple saying: you wanna play, you gotta pay
