809 area code scam?
Anyone ever hear of it? I googled it and saw how scammers use the 809 area code.
Anyway, I got 2 809 calls tonight within a 1/2 hour. I didnt' answer. I friggin hate scumbags!

could it have possibly been someone trying to get ahold of someone else with a similar number as you? Maybe miswrote it or somehting....

It is a scam that has been going on for many years.
It started out as a "800" type number scam.
You can pay BIG $$$$$ per minute for calling those folks, there is no requirement to advertise. I have seen it where it was over $100 a minute, they can be overseas charges and all kinds of shit!
Never call 809!
NEVER CALL 809!

ha i actually got one last night from a 809 number but i was on a call so i didnt answer...underneath the number it said dominican republic?
