how do you replace turn signal lever

I bought the new lever and just don't know how to replace if any one can help .

your probably gonna have to remove the 2 halves that go around ur steering column which is normally about 4 or 5 screws on the bottom, ull need a small long screwdriver. then it should be pretty accessible. jus take it apart youll figure it out.

It ain't that simple!

I looked into this while researching if I should swap out the turn signal lever with a C5 one or a caddy one that has flash to pass in it. (a member here did it a long time ago before the board fu(ked up and went in suspense for a while.

It involved in disconnecting the steering linkage under the hood, then dropping the steering column, pull it out a lil while still in the car, and then slide the shield that goes around the steering column (the one where the starting cylinder is in) and acess the turn lever, which also involves drilling out 2 rivets and puttin in the new one with screws and tighted with a nut.

Not worth it unless it's broken off and needs to be replaced for real.

This will cost the same as to do a key cylinder change from the broken PASS KEY II wires inside of it. $300!

This just makes me hate that ancient turn signal lever even more.

I remember having one on my old '85 Olds Delta 88. That thing burned up in my office parking lot. Of all the cost cutting measures I wish they'd have skipped this one.

i aint got the patience for that crap, i just replace the steering column not to mention working inside the column can sometimes require special tools to remove the air bag and and steering wheel.
