OE Connecting Rods
I am hearing conflicting reports on if this is right, but we had a guy order LS1 rods and the caps on the bottom aren't separated from the rod itself. I'm hearing the customer has to "break" the rod apart, but that's hard for me to get my head around. Anyone know for sure?

OE Connecting Rods
yes all oem rods will need to be cracked. It's how they are made. If you feel uneasy about doing it then by al means have a shop do it. It shouldn't cost much to do. All it takes is clamping in a vice in the correct postion and apply force.
