What is the widest tire that I can put on a stock 5 spoke
Hi guys. I might have to keep my stock rims after all. So I'm in need of two new tires for the rear and I was thinking about maybe getting a wider tire. I currently been using 245/60Z R16. What is the widest tire I can use that will look good in a 5 spoke 16 inch rim? Thanks.

How wide are the 16s? If they are 9" the widest I would go is 275, 285 or 295 if 9.5" depending on the tire.

Im not sure how wide they are. I know the are the oem ones. I have two extra rims. I will look and see if it is stamped on the rim somewhere when I get home.

The problem with 16" wheels is the limited tire sizes. Widest I think they make is a 245 or 255.

ok so the OEM 5 spoke wheels are stamped 16 x 8. So 255 is the widest I can go?

If they make 265s for 16s you could probably do that otherwise 255s is the widest I would go.

If you want wider you could get a set of 17" stock wheels and you can go up to 295 on certain tires. I have a set of 17s I don't need and you can have them for cheap if you want.
