sounds different?
My 2000 ws6 sat for a week and driving it today seems to have a different tone and be louder. Has no cats, slp y-pipe, and elt cut-out. This morning I didn't notice it seemed the same, it seem to change while driving this afternoon had the music blasting then something changed turned the music off and that's when I felt it was diff, I could be crazy idk hahah I did close the cut-out and it was real quite all flowing out back so I don't think its a leak anyone hear or have any ideas?

what is a muffler bearing never heard of this, also what would the muffler have to do with it if the cut-out is open?

Have you been using your turn signal a lot lately? You may have run low on blinker fluid. I ran low once, and ended up having to replace my blinker clutch.

Seriously, though. Maybe you were driving by a wall? Mine is loud as hell all the time, but doubly so under an overpass or by a wall of any kind.

^^ I was going to suggest this. May have been the location and the sound was reflecting off something -- that could be what caught the OP's attention. Also, some cutouts do have issues staying closed and it may have cracked open a bit.

Muffler bearing. They have blinker fluid as well. Not to mention its time to change the air in the tires for winter.

I also notice most cars are louder when the air is colder. Engines make more power with colder air, so it makes sense that more power = more noise. Could also be the cutout had a bit of carbon build up on it, and did not fully close. The muffler bearing joke is a classic though!
