tach and speedo not working
Hey im new to the LS1 scene...just recently bought a 98 trans/am and when i bought it the speedo and tach didnt work...any ideas? they are just stuck at 0

Well, thumbing through my helms it says the first thing you need to do is an IPC (instrument panel check) with a scan tool. For example under the tach diagnosis it says to sweep the tach with the tool, if it doesn't sweep then replace the instrument cluster. Speedo diagnosis is a little more complicated, but you get the idea. The tool will also read any codes present. Other than checking all your fuses and the connector/wiring to the panel don't know what else to tell you. Hope this helps...

Just thought of something else, have you tried resetting the PCM?
