Gearhead Woman
Ok this post is just a vent. I am getting fustrated that my husband hates that I'm a gearhead. It seems to annoy him to no end. A gearhead husband can want to buy a new project car constantly and it is considered normal. A gearhead wife can not do the same. That is grounds for divorce everytime the wife wants anoher project car. Why? I have no "unfinished" projects. I feel like such an oddity. Come on I can't be the only one. Chime in ladies...

STFU and get in the kitchen.
Sex has no bearing on the decision to purchase in a marriage environment. Both parties usually agree on purchases in most normal marriages.

Divorce your husband and move to Indiana. I am 32, good looking, have a great job and come spring will own one of the fastest Camaro's in the area.
Seriously though, you are in a committed relationship where both people should be respecting and honoring the others hobbies and interests.
Have you discussed with him how this bothers you?
Is there any reason as to why he feels the way he does? Are you financially stable enough to do such things? Are you both working? You use your money for your hobbies and he does the same for his?

I lucked out and married "a gearhead woman". Not once has she ever questioned a vehicle or parts purchase, and other than my penchant for some ugly '60s Buicks, we have pretty much the same tastes in cars.
No hope of making him a convert?

Maybe he's jealous. Are you better at wrenching on cars? Do your projects get more attention?

I found a guy that loves that I am into cars as much as he is. Between the two of us we have tons of toys. Only thing I want to beat him for is he keeps stealing MY STS-V!
We also argue that I refuse to give up one of my toys for a new CTS-V coupe. I told him he can have the STS-V if I get the new one

Cars are a very male dominated hobby and he may not know much about them so he feels inadequate.

Fairly simple really.
Give your spouse everything they could ever possibly want/wish for. Then they could care less what you do.
