manual to Automatic swap
i want to swap from a manual 6speed to a 4l60e
reason being my t56s been built already and i believe i twisted splines on the input shaft.
i want to go automatic due to i run over 100+passes a year in it and im looking to be more consistant and have less driveline shock.
Im pretty sure i know just about what i need to convert over but anyone with any Good info about this id really appreicate Thanks

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I don't know what is required to swap but I also realize that an A4 is hands down better in the 1/4 mile over an M6. That is unless you're Ronnie Sox (if you don't know then look it up)...
You'll find the info you need here eventually.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

Yea I'm in the same boat too dude my tranny is going soon and my buddy keeps tellin me to go auto but I love m6 so it's tough decision for me. I'm seriously considering it, but I don't know what to do or what I have to get as far as auto goes. B/c as of this moment I'm rebuilding my t56 to a stage 2 cuz I figured while it's getting worked on(keep throwing the stick out of rev.) to just upgrade everything to stage 2 so hopefully there will be no more probs. when I put more power to it. I mean it did last me 55k without a problem at all but I guess I won't more consistent times at the track to. My favorite one is the one were you have to manually put it into 1/2/&3 w/ a 4th OD I just don't know what it's called

op you'll need the trans which is obvious, auto cross member maybe and prolly the electronics.

Sunset Orange- 2002 WS6 Trans Am
A random shot in the dark, for an m6 to a4 swap, i assume requires; pedal assembly, the whole center console assembly, a plug that'll work as the neutral safety switch (unless you want to run a bypass), removing the slave(idk if you can remove and just use the master, idk how those work yet), A4 Tranny mount, the transmission/torque converter, either a tranny cooler or if your radiator permits tranny lines, flex plate, the cable that connects the transmission to the center console assembly (sorry i forget names of items, but i know what they look like and their purpose). Then after all said n done some computer playing/tuning and i think it is all done. "I think"

For those of you not in the know (apparently not the majority of the repliers to this thread - Thank God!) Ronnie Sox = Mr 4-speed. He could shift an A833 (if you don't know look it up) better than any slushbox (if you still don't know look that up too) ever made.
To my age group he was a racing GOD!

I had a TH350 that I rebuilt 3 times over a 20+ year life that I had in 6 different cars so I should've recognized it. Chalk it up to "Old Timers" disease (LOL)...
