Cable Help.

Hello im looking to get a little help. I have a 94 z28 with the LT1 in it and i am looking at buying a aldl cable for it. i noticed that they have 2 different options for it. First being a serial with a 12v plug and second being a usb style. (see attached links) I would rather go with usb but i my question is what does the serial have the 12 plug and the usb does not. And will the usb one work with my 94 z?

The serial port doesn't have a source for power where USB has it's own power source through the computer.

Great thanks for the response. Can this Usb cable be used to also tune the care or just read the live date?

They have everything including knowledge on how to turn OBD1 cars.
