T56 cable???
I am pullin out my 6-speed, T56 tranny and I don't know what this cable is, or how to take it off. I think its the speedo cable but not for sure? Its on the drivers side of the case between the transmission and bellhousing. Its a steel braided cable with a yellow connector. Its the last thing holding me up, and I cant figure out how to remove it without breaking it. Please help!!!

Thats the clutch hydraulic line from the master cylinder. Its a quick connect style connection. There is a special tool to release it but you can release it by pushing the white plastic ring in towards the transmission. You can use 2 flat blade screwdrivers to do this. It needs to be pushed all the way inside the fitting. Then the line should just pop out on it own or with a gentle tug. If it doesn't come out its not released, keep trying. It can be a pain...

Yeah my plastic was broken also. But the screwdrivers worked great. Now its time to crack open the case and start rebuilding it!
